A driver has averted what could have been a catastrophic fuel tanker explosion after fire engulfed the vehicle.
The brave driver, in a video circulating on social media, kept going with a burning truck from a crowded area in Iwo town where there could have been devastating casualties to a less populated part.
After driving to a less crowded part of Iwo in Osun State, the driver, at maximum risk, had the presence of mind to quickly alight and went underneath the truck and managed to separate it from the burning tank.
His bold action prevented the entire vehicle from going up in flames and potentially causing a much bigger disaster.
He succeeded with only the truck’s tank destroyed. No lives were lost and no property was damaged.
