VIDEO: Emotions as security operative rescue two from soak away
The rescue is another evidence security forces are working round the clock to make Nigeria safer.
A video circulating on social media has shown the moment security operatives rescued a man and a woman from an underground pit.
The emotional rescue, captured on video, shows the traumatised abductees in an underground soak away with the operatives lifting the slab to enable them emerge.
It is not clear whether the abductees, a man and woman, are a couple or father and daughter.
Looking haggard and harassed, the security operatives calmed them down, reassuring they were in safe hands.
As they are led through the bush path to the main road, the abductees kept looking sideways, ostensibly unsure they had been truly rescued.
