VIDEO: Gift Orban receives goal of the month award in Turkey

Amedspor striker Gift Orban has received the Turkish league goal of the month award he won for his long-range strike against Besiktas in a 3-2 win last month.

He received the physical accolade over the weekend from Serkan Bayhan, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regional director.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international struck in the 13th minute, producing a fierce long-range shot that handed Amedspor an early advantage.

Orban arrived at Amedspor in July on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim and settled quickly in Turkey.

Under manager Besnik Hasi, the forward has registered seven goals and two assists in six league outings.

That form has lifted him to the top of the Süper Lig scoring chart, where he is tied with Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah.
