VIDEO: Okada rider returns lost iPhone in Lagos

Admin2 weeks ago

Good people abound in Nigeria as confirmed by a phoneless Okada rider who returned a lost iPhone in Lagos.

A commercial bike rider popularly known as Okada rider has defied popular belief that items lost in Nigeria are as good as gone by returning a lost iPhone found on the streets of Lagos to the owner.

The incident, which occurred last Sunday in a part of Lagos, has accentuated the fact that there are many good Nigerians around.

The female owner, in a video on social media, said he lost the phone on the way to church, stating she came down from a vehicle to realise the phone was gone.

She said she started calling the phone frantically and the person who saw it asked her to pick it up at a location.

Apparently stunned by the unbelievable development, she proceeded to the prescribed location to meet the Okada rider in a park.

The overwhelmed lady started filming her conversation with the kind Nigerian, who originated from Kogi.

His fellow riders confirmed the park is dominated by Kogi people, who they stated are honest and kind-hearted.

Amid shouts of thank you, she stated: ‘’I didn’t know these kinds of people still exist, especially in Lagos, Nigeria.’’

Interestingly, the kind-hearted Okada rider lost his phone the previous week and couldn’t retrieve from the person who took it.

By choosing the path of honour instead of repaying evil for evil, the phone owner said she has learnt another lesson in life.

‘’He could have said ‘I would keep this phone to myself after all someone took mine before’. But he returned it despite not having a phone,’’ the stunned lady said.
