VIDEO: Osimhen connects Nigerian journalist with Barca’s star Yamal

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen played the role of a facilitator on Tuesday night for a Nigerian journalist Calister Ojonugwa Enejele popularly known as Cali Sports.

Shortly after the UEFA Champions League match between Galatasaray and Barcelona in Turkey, which the Catalans won 4-1, Osimhen helped the popular FIFA/CAF-accredited journalist to meet and take a photo with Barca’s wonderkid, Lamine Yamal.

The meeting took place at the tunnel after the match with video showing Osimhen pulling aside the Barca star for a handshake and photo shoot with the Nigerian journalist.

Confirming the connection through Osimhen, Enejele wrote on X: ‘’ Help to thank Victor Osimhen oooo. Photo credit: Victor Osimhen 🔥’’ with a photo and the video of the encounter.

The incident confirmed Osimhen’s place as a born helper, facilitating a dream shoot for a fellow Nigerian in a foreign land.

It was not the first time Osimhen was connecting a Nigerian with global stars.

He once linked online streamer and singer Carter Efe with Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger.

In April 2026, he flew a long-time supporter Odebunmi Funsho (who had posted a prayer for him on X/Twitter back in 2017) to Turkey to watch a live Galatasaray match.

The Eagles striker has also openly celebrated and interacted with online media chronicler Tife Fab, highlighting his willingness to lift others.
