VIDEO: Pupil passes WAEC after benevolence of teachers
The teachers donated to buy WAEC form for their students who returned to thank them with good results.
A former student of Government Secondary School Narayi in Kaduna State, Destiny Chibuike, has returned to thank teachers who supported him to write his West African Examination Examinations (WAEC).
The tearful Chibuike showed off his WAEC result to a group of teachers in the staff room who contributed money to enable him buy the form his parent couldn’t afford.
The teachers reportedly contributed personal fund to ensure Chibuike, who they consider brilliant, write the exams.
In a video online, Chibuike proudly held the results to the delight of the teachers before sending tears, perhaps awed by the help of complete strangers.
One of the teachers hugged him, urging him to stop crying in a touching moment.
Their gesture is another evidence that Nigerians support themselves to pull through challenges of life.
