Super Eagles striker Akor Adams was the match-winner on Saturday in a 1-0 victory of Venezia victory over Napoli.
It was the first win for the club, which has been struggling in the new season.
The Super Eagles forward found the net with the decisive goal, giving the hosts all three points in a tightly contested match against the reigning Italian champions.
Adams’ strike separated the two sides and Venezia managed to protect their lead until the final whistle to secure an important result.
The win is a major lift for Venezia as they look to build momentum over the course of the Serie A season.
Adams’ match-winning performance again underlined his value to the team and his growing impact in Italian football.
