BoI disbursed ₦644.9bn to businesses in 2025

A total of 12,501 Nigerian businesses received ₦644.9 billion in financing from the Bank of Industry (BoI) in 2025, as the bank recorded its highest annual disbursement to date.

The bank’s Managing Director, Olasupo Olusi, disclosed the figures during a meeting with business editors in Lagos.

“In 2025, we disbursed ₦644.9bn, the highest amount ever by the Bank,” Olusi said.

The amount was 26 per cent higher than the ₦510.9 billion disbursed in 2024, according to the bank’s 2025 Annual Development Impact Report.

Beyond business financing, the bank estimated that its activities supported 1.68 million jobs during the year.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for 41 per cent of the funding while women-owned businesses received ₦120.9 billion.

The financing covered businesses across sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure and the digital economy.
