Dele-Bashiru’s stunning solo goal seals Juventus 3-0 defeat to Lazio

Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru produced a moment of individual brilliance as Lazio defeated Juventus 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, October 18.

Dele-Bashiru sealed the victory in the 89th minute, launching a powerful run from inside his half before driving into the penalty area and slotting a low finish past the Juventus goalkeeper to make it three goals without reply.

The goal stood out for the Nigerian’s pace, strength and composure as he carried the ball forward and broke through Juventus’ defensive line.

His effort provided a memorable finish to Lazio’s performance and drew attention to his attacking threat from midfield.

The 25-year-old came off the bench in the second half, replacing Kenneth Taylor in the 69th minute, before making his mark in the closing stages of the encounter.

Lazio had taken the lead in the 37th minute through Oliver Provstgaard, who headed home Mattia Zaccagni’s delivery following a corner. Gustav Isaksen doubled the visitors’ advantage in the 66th minute with a well-placed left-footed finish.

Juventus attempted to respond but struggled to find a way past Lazio’s defence, allowing the visitors to maintain their advantage before Dele-Bashiru delivered the decisive moment late in the game.

The victory lifted Lazio to 19 points after seven Serie A matches, putting them level with Inter Milan at the top of the table.

For Dele-Bashiru, the goal also marked his first strike of the 2026/27 campaign, providing an encouraging moment as he looks to establish himself under Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso.
