Eseose Silva seeks Guinness World Records with 26-hour cheerleading marathon
Another Nigerian is attempting to join the nation’s long list of Guinness World Records holders.
Kadiri Eseose Silva and her team seek are attempting a 26-hour cheerleading marathon in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Tagged “Longest Cheerleading Marathon: 26 Hours Sports Activities,” the event is being organised in collaboration with Fashion Junkie Pre-Event and The City’s Inter-House Sport.
The organisers said the initiative will combine cheerleading, sports and entertainment while promoting youth participation and physical fitness.
The marathon is designed to test the participants’ endurance, teamwork and discipline while drawing attention to cheerleading as a sporting activity in Nigeria.
They said the event would also provide an opportunity to encourage young people to participate in recreational and sporting activities and showcase their creativity and physical abilities.
The planned 26-hour exercise is part of a growing number of Guinness World Records attempts by Nigerians across sports, entertainment, culinary arts and other creative fields.
If completed and accepted by Guinness World Records after verification, the attempt could add to Nigeria’s record of participation in global record-breaking activities.
