Osimhen’s pregnant girlfriend survives car crash

Just hours before the Champions league matchday 2 crash between Galatasaray and Barca, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, the eight-month pregnant girlfriend of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, survived a three-vehicle crash in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Osimhen played the match despite the involvement of her girlfriend earlier in the crash and provided the assist for the club’s only goal in a 4-1 defeat to the Catalan giants.

He proceeded to connect Barca star Lamine Yamal to a Nigerian content creator after the match, even taking their photo despite the personal incident.

The 26-year-old model was discharged from hospital after undergoing medical examinations as a precaution because of her pregnancy, Türkiye Today reported on Wednesday, citing the Demirören News Agency.

The accident occurred around 3:10 pm on Tuesday in the Mithatpasa neighbourhood of Kemerburgaz, in Istanbul’s Eyupsultan district.

According to DHA, Ladewig was driving an SUV when she entered a bend and hit a light commercial vehicle driven by a person identified as Paris T.

The impact reportedly caused her to lose control of the SUV, which then collided with another SUV travelling in the opposite direction.

The crash involved two SUVs and a light commercial vehicle. All three vehicles sustained damage, but no injuries were reported.

DHA reported that Ladewig went to a private hospital in the Maslak area of Istanbul’s Sariyer district for precautionary checks because she was eight months pregnant.
