Agbara Nla grosses N450m, tops box office for five weekends
Faith-based film, Agbara Nla: The Return, has grossed over N450.3m at the box office, becoming the second-highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026.
Its distributor, Nile Entertainment, in an Instagram post on Monday, said the film had maintained its position as the number one movie of the weekend for five consecutive weekends.
It also described the production as the highest-grossing film ever released in October and the highest-grossing faith-based title of all time.
“From the incredible support in cinemas to the love and conversations around the film, AGBARA NLA THE RETURN has continued to break records,” the distributor said.
The film’s executive producer, Circuits Africa, also expressed gratitude to audiences for supporting the production, describing its success as a testament to what God could achieve when people came together for a common purpose.
In a statement shared on X, the company thanked those who bought tickets, visited cinemas, invited family and friends, and promoted the film.
“This is beyond numbers. It is a testimony of what God can do when He brings His people together for His purpose. And the journey is not over yet!” it said.
The executive producer added that the film was still showing in cinemas nationwide, urging audiences to watch it with their families and friends.
