Bovi ends global tour with Lagos comedy night
After a tour that took him to London and six cities in Canada, Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma ended his global tour by bringing his ‘Guilty as Charged’ to Lagos with fellow comedians and a musical performance adding variety to the final show.
The event, held at the Eko Convention Centre, 2026, featured comedians I Go Save, Mr Patrick, Funny Urch and other performers who entertained the audience with their sets.
Loud Urban Choir also performed popular Afrobeats songs, providing a musical interlude during the event.
Bovi started the international run in the United Kingdom performing at Indigo at The O2 in London.
The tour subsequently travelled across six Canadian cities before returning to Nigeria for performances in Benin City and Lagos.
Bovi began his entertainment career in 2007 and has since worked across stand-up comedy, television, acting, writing and film production.
He established a presence in scripted comedy through ‘Extended Family’, a sitcom he wrote and produced. His other comedy productions include the ‘Man on Fire’ series and ‘Naughty by Nature’.
Over the years, Bovi has combined live performances with work in television and film. The conclusion of ‘Guilty as Charged’ marks the end of another touring production in a career spanning nearly two decades.
