MITV launches South Africa Channel
Nigerian broadcaster Murih International Television (MITV) has launched a new channel in South Africa as part of efforts to expand its broadcasting services and reach more viewers across different countries.
The new station, known as MITV South Africa, is the latest addition to the media organisation's growing network, which provides news and entertainment content to audiences in different parts of the world.
MITV International is owned by Alhaji Busari Gbadeyanka, who is also the founder of Star FM Lagos and Star FM Ibadan. The broadcasting organisation has been operating since 1989, building a presence in the media industry through its television and radio services.
In a statement announcing the development, the General Manager of MITV and Star FM Ibadan and South Africa, Bankole Oluwafemi, said the new channel would offer viewers a variety of news reports and entertainment programmes from different parts of the world.
The management also provided instructions on how interested viewers can access the new station through their television sets or mobile phones.
To watch MITV South Africa, viewers are required to open a browser on their television or mobile device and visit the official website, mitvinternational.com.
After accessing the website, they should click on the TV Box option located at the top left corner of the screen. This will display the available MITV stations, allowing users to select MITV South Africa. Viewers must also activate the audio option to hear the channel's programmes.
The organisation has provided customer support contacts for people who may need assistance or wish to make enquiries about the new station.
As part of the launch activities, MITV is also offering businesses an opportunity to advertise on the new channel at no cost during its first month of operation.
The free advertising offer is expected to give businesses an opportunity to promote their products and services to viewers through the newly launched South African station.
