Culture stated that it was while conducting further checks that the team found many expired products such as rice, biscuits, creams, Chivita, tomatoes, palm oil, sanitary pads, and Maggi (chicken flavour) etc displayed on the shelves for rebate.

He said some other products such as Planet Apple, Pure Palm Sap, sweet, D'Angelus and Angel were confirmed adulterated products and confiscated.

According to him: "However, other products on the shelves were confirmed safe for consumption.

"We must continue to safeguard the health and rights of consumers in line with the SHINE Agenda of distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State."
