VIDEO: Turkish fans motivate ‘legend’ Iheanacho with fruits

Passionate Bursaspor fans have brought 16 watermelons and other fresh fruits to celebrate his great goal-scoring form of Nigeria’s striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Bursaspor captain Ertuğrul Ersoy had revealed that Iheanacho loves eating watermelon all year round.

After hearing about his favorite snack, fans (including a supporter named İsmail Tepe and his friends from Karacabey) loaded up 16 watermelons and brought them straight to the training ground.

The Super Eagles star has been in scintillating form for the club this season breaking many records in the process.

He scored in 12 consecutive games, becoming the first player in the Turkey football to achieve the feat.

In 12 games, the former Manchester City has scored 16th goals in the Turkey second division league.

Iheanacho joined the club during the summer transfer on a free from Celtic where he has rediscovered his form.

To confirm he is becoming a club legend, a grateful fan brought fruits to the team’s training session in appreciation of Iheanacho.

In a video, he is seen reporting for training and being shown a set of fruits by a fan.

Iheanacho signalled gratitude, deeply impressed by the gesture reserved only for club legends.
